Some rooms are never going to be comfortable on the central system. A bonus room over the garage, a sunroom, a converted attic, an addition the ductwork never reached, or an older Cullman County home that never had ducts at all. A ductless mini-split solves that by putting an indoor head where the comfort is needed and running only refrigerant and control lines back to an outdoor condenser. Bama Air Systems designs, installs and repairs these systems across Cullman and North Alabama. Call 256-734-4181 or pick the service you need below.
We are a Mitsubishi Diamond Contractor and a Daikin Comfort Pro dealer, so our technicians carry factory-level training on the ductless lines we install, and we service other single-zone and multi-zone brands as well.
Ductless works best where extending the central system would be expensive, disruptive or simply impossible. Room additions, finished garages and attics, sunrooms, detached structures, and older homes without existing ductwork are the situations we are called out to most. Because each zone is controlled independently, you are not paying to condition the whole house to keep one room usable.
As a Mitsubishi Diamond Contractor we install the wall-mounted single-zone line, including the MUZ-GS heat pump paired with an MSY-GS indoor unit for rooms that need both heating and cooling, and the cooling-only MUY-GS where heating is not required. Capacities run from 9,000 to 36,000 BTU/H, efficiency reaches up to 28.4 SEER2 for cooling and up to 9.6 HSPF2 for heating, and the heat exchanger fins carry a factory-applied Blue Fin anti-corrosion coating for longer coil life. Inverter compressors let these systems modulate rather than cycling on and off, which is where their efficiency and their quiet operation both come from. We also install Daikin ductless equipment.
The single most common ductless problem we are called out for is water dripping from an indoor head, and the usual cause is a clogged condensate drain line backing water up into the unit. A dirty filter or a failing condensate pump can do the same thing. Ductless heads pull room air through a filter you can reach yourself, and keeping that filter and the indoor coil clean prevents a large share of the faults we see. If your unit is leaking indoors, switch it off to prevent damage and call us. With proper maintenance a ductless system should give you 15 to 20 years or more.
We serve Cullman, Hanceville, Arab, Decatur, Hartselle, Jasper, Fultondale, Blountsville, Albertville and Oneonta.

They are ideal for room additions, finished garages and attics, sunrooms, older homes without existing ductwork, and any space that is hard to heat or cool with a central system. Multi-zone setups let you control the temperature of several rooms independently.
A single outdoor condenser can support multiple indoor heads depending on the model and the total capacity needed. We design a single-zone or multi-zone layout based on the rooms you want to condition.
The most common cause is a clogged condensate drain line, which backs water up into the indoor head. A dirty filter or a problem with the condensate pump can also cause leaks. Turn the unit off to prevent damage and call 256-734-4181 for service.
High-efficiency ductless systems may qualify for TVA EnergyRight rebates of up to $1,500. Financing is also available on qualifying installations. Call 256-734-4181 to review your options.
